    9月16日开学典礼上，北帕默斯顿学院副院长倪博副教授代表全体任课教师发言，向2026级首届新生致以欢迎与期许。

    At the opening ceremony on 16 September, Ni Bo, Vice Dean of the Palmerston North Institute of Xi'an University (PNI(XAU)) and Associate Professor, spoke on behalf of the teaching faculty, extending welcome and expectations to the inaugural 2026 cohort.

    她向同学们介绍，学院构建了校内专业教师、UCOL外教、产业教授三方协同的授课模式：本校教师夯实专业理论，新方外教带来前沿技术、国际教材与全英文课堂，产业教授把企业真实项目带进课堂，打通书本知识与岗位需求。课堂之外，英语角、第二课堂、国际化学业技能课程与校企实践将陪伴同学们走过整个大学。

    She explained that the Institute has built a three-way teaching model—local faculty, UCOL international lecturers, and industry professors working together. Local faculty lay the theoretical foundation; New Zealand lecturers bring cutting-edge technology, international textbooks and fully English-taught classrooms; industry professors bring real enterprise projects into the classroom, bridging textbook knowledge and workplace needs. Beyond class, English corners, second-campus activities, international study-skills courses and university-enterprise practice will accompany students throughout their degree.

    “大学是全新的起点，”倪博寄语新生，“国际化平台意味着更多机遇，也意味着更高要求。”她鼓励同学们扎根本土、学好本领，也勇敢开口、攻克语言关，为未来双学位、跨境深造与高质量就业做好准备。

    “University is a brand-new starting point,” she told the freshmen. “An international platform means more opportunities, but also higher expectations.” She encouraged them to build a strong local foundation and professional skills, while finding the courage to speak English and overcome language barriers—preparing for a dual degree, overseas study and high-quality employment.

    作为教师代表，她代表全体教师郑重承诺：恪守立德树人初心，在课堂上严谨治学、把三方协同落到实处，在课下用心陪伴每位同学的学业、语言与思想成长，严慈相济、因材施教，做同学们学业上的引路人、成长路上的同行者。

    Speaking for all faculty, she pledged to uphold the mission of education for character—teaching rigorously in class and putting the three-way model into practice, and caring after class for each student’s academic progress, language development and personal growth. With both care and high standards, and tailored guidance, the teachers will be guides in study and companions along the journey.

    与全体教师一道，将以家校协同、中新协同、校企协同，助力同学们成长为具备国际竞争力的高素质应用型人才。

    Together, the faculty will work in partnership with parents, across China–New Zealand, and with partner enterprises, to help every student grow into a high-quality, application-oriented talent with genuine international competitiveness.
