9月16日，北帕默斯顿学院2026级开学典礼上，软件工程（北帕）2602班的王予骞同学走上讲台，代表全体新生发出青春心声。她身着白衬衫、言辞真诚从容，把初入大学的忐忑与憧憬，讲成了一封写给同窗的“成长信”。

On 16 September, at the opening ceremony for the 2026 cohort of the Palmerston North Institute of Xi'an University (PNI(XAU)), Wang Yuqian, a student from Class 2602, Software Engineering (PNI), took the podium to speak on behalf of all the new students. Dressed in a crisp white shirt and speaking with quiet confidence, she turned the nerves and excitement of starting university into a warm "letter of growth" to her peers.

“进入新学校，会让人兴奋，也难免紧张：能交到新朋友吗？能适应吗？跟得上学习吗？”她坦言，这些疑问再正常不过。大学生活不只是取得好成绩，更是结识新朋友、尝试新事物、发现自身所长，并在一路的挑战中成长。

"Starting at a new school can be exciting, but it can also feel a little nervous or even uneasy. You may be wondering: Will I make new friends? Will I fit in? Will I be able to keep up with my studies?" It is completely normal to feel this way, she told them. University is not only about getting good grades; it is also about meeting new people, trying new things, discovering your edge, and learning from the challenges along the way.

“我的建议很简单——勇敢去试。”她鼓励同学们尝试从未做过的事、主动和新朋友交谈、不懂就问；别怕犯错，因为犯错本就是学习和成长的一部分；也不必独自硬扛，老师、学长和朋友始终在身旁。她还谈到，PNI有优秀师资，UCOL提供丰富的学习资源，更有刚刚见到的产业教授与企业导师，大家在知识积累与专业精进上都将大有收获，前途可期。

"So, my advice to you is simple: be brave enough to try. Try something you have never done before. Talk to someone new. Ask questions when you don’t understand something. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes, because mistakes are part of learning and growing." And she reminded them not to feel they have to do everything alone—there will always be teachers, staff, older students, and friends who are ready to support them. She also spoke of the excellent faculty at PNI, the abundant learning resources from UCOL, and especially the industry professors and mentors present that day, expressing confidence that they are heading into a promising future, with richer knowledge and sharper professional insight.

谈及未来，她与同窗立下约定：靠不懈努力考到目标雅思成绩，顺利从中新两校毕业，多年后一起自豪地拍下毕业合影。“欢迎来到我们的学院，欢迎加入这个共同体，欢迎踏上这段新旅程。”

Looking ahead, she made a promise with her cohort: through their persistence and hard work, they will achieve the IELTS goal they are aiming for, successfully earn degrees from both Xi'an University and UCOL, and proudly take their graduation photos together. She closed by welcoming everyone: "Welcome to our university, welcome to our community, and welcome to our new journey."

字里行间，是北帕学子的热忱与笃定。从这一刻出发，2026级的故事，正由他们亲手写就。
